Actualizing Your Vision

The vision of our owners is to create a “One Stop Shop” for musicians and creatives.
One point of contact that delivers professional audio and visual content, distributes music and provides earning and employment opportunities for musicians and other creatives.

Our People

Our team consists of 2 people at the moment.
The company was founded by Jordan Bailey, a musician with over 25 years experience in the industry, who also used to play basketball for England.
In the autumn of 2021, Saul Roa Herasme opened Petit Village, a business which is now without a doubt, the coolest Greengrocers store and Juice bar to ever open it’s doors on Deptford High Street.
A friend introduced Jordan, who was growing house plants to sell at the time, to Saul who was selling plants in the Greengrocers shop.
The pair went into business together immediately.
They have now created Film Actualization and are soon to be joined by their newly acquired intern,
Maddie Corleone, a photography student at LCC.
If you would like to join our team, please get in touch!

Our Purpose

Firstly both Saul and Jordan have a passion for music and creativity.
Before opening Film Actualization, Saul has hosted many different events in the space ranging from Supper clubs to Art and Photography Exhibitions.
Whether for Petit Village or Jordan’s music projects both our owners need access to equipment to create professional content.
We also recognise that in the Lewisham Borough there is a shortage of creative companies,
especially companies that offer training, employment or opportunities in the creative field.
So as a community based business, we have social aims, which you can find more details about on this page.
These social aims are the driving force behind our business!

How we can help

Have you ever attempted to finish a piece of content and found yourself having to contact several different people to stay on top of all the moving parts, like a studio engineer for audio recording, camera man, video editor etc.

Maybe you tried renting a camera, backdrop and lighting equipment from different places and setting it all up in your flat, only to not be happy with the results and it to not be worth the effort?

If you have had similar experiences, you will begin to understand how revolutionary a single point of contact can be! Only having one person to contact regarding different aspects of your creative projects, not only saves you time, but gives you peace and the mental freedom to concentrate on other things, which is priceless!

Every week we offer FREE 2 hour studio sessions,
if you meet our criteria, all you have to do is fill out a form and apply.

We also offer a FREE 5 week training delivered by E-mail, which includes a FREE E-Book upon completion of the course.

Our community is important to us

At Film Actualization we are a business that is literally built on top of another business,
so our community of business owners, our customers and our local community in Deptford are very important to us.
We are also very aware how few pathways there are into the entertainment industry for young people,
especially those from low income households and minority backgrounds.

Our Social Aims are to improve access to:
Studio Spaces
Creative Resources
Creative Employment
Training
Funding
Financial Education

Inspired by the Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency
which provides a number of services including free courses for London Residents
that our founders have attended, we have ambitions to improve the availability and access
to resources for our local community in the Lewisham Borough and to all London Residents.
In the future we aim to open a Community Interest Company so we may better serve
and provide resources for our local community.
In the mean time we believe it is very important to begin giving what you can, from where you are right now.
Every week we offer FREE 2 hour studio sessions.
If you meet our criteria, all you have to do is fill out a form and apply.
Currently you can also sign up to our mailing list to gain access to our FREE 5 week course

About our Studio Space

Our studio is located on the first floor of 61 Deptford High Street, SE84AA. It sits above a Greengrocers and Juice Bar called Petite Village. Access to our studio is through the front entrance of the Petit Village Shop, if you have booked let a member of the Petite Village staff know and someone will grant you entry.

Upon ascending to the first floor, you’ll first encounter our covered outdoor bar area,
featuring ample natural light thanks to its clear corrugated PVC Roofing.
The staircase to the left is designated for staff members only.

Moving through the bar area, you’ll enter our Studio space, measuring approximately 7m long and 4m wide, with lofty ceilings. The installation of 32mm Aluminium tubes permits the hanging of lighting or props. With the booking, you’ll have access to 2 Godox Flash Lights, which operate continuously, a single Equinox RGB power batten, and an additional continuous light.

We also offer several other lighting options and props for hire upon request, including 2 extra Equinox RGB power battens and a corresponding DMX controller.

In addition to serving as a great set for film and photography, our space has also hosted Supper Clubs, Art Exhibitions, and various other events.

The Link between
psychology and creativity

Film Actualization is not only the name of the business and the studio, but also the philosophy of its founder Jordan Bailey.
A musician with over 25 years experience in the industry.

We see music, photography and filmmaking as ways of telling stories that reflect an individuals inner vision and personal growth.
This transcends the mere creation of entertaining films, delving into the realm of meaningful, personal expression.

Our intentions are to not only produce entertaining and informative content, but to assist members of our team and our clients in reaching their full creative potential, expressing themselves and sharing their respective journeys of self-actualization through the art of cinema.

Our film and photography studio is located in South East London.
